Same Trash Collection, Different Company Name

The name on the trucks is different, but don't worry, it's the same company.

The same company will be collecting residents' trash every week, but a new name and logo are being displayed on the side of the trucks. 

J & J Refuse changed its name to Kimble.

Although the company is based in Dover, it has a . Many cities collect residents' rubbish, but take it to the now Kimble facility in Twinsburg.

The company is based in Dover and has always been part of the Kimble family of companies, including energy services and being a clay and limestone provider, but is officially taking on the name now. 

The company employes more than 450 people.

"We’re proud of the fact that even in this tough economy we’ve not laid off anyone,” VP of Business Development Scott Walter in a TimesReporter.com story. The family has owned various businesses for about 63 years. “We’ve been able to keep a good group of people and grown some in the last couple of years.”

The company collects trash in 23 Ohio counties and includes Northeast Ohio.

“Aggressive growth in new Ohio markets, recent acquisitions and collective investments in new facilities and technology have compelled Kimble family ownership/management to re-align these entities under the KIMBLE name in order to enhance communication, build brand awareness and compete in new markets,” he told TimesReporter.com.
