City to buy about 0.05 acres as part of road widening project

The city of Stow is well into negotiations and buying properties along Graham Road for the road-widening project to start construction as early as January 2014.

The most recent land buy approved by Stow City Council is for a sliver of land in front of Rocco's Pizza on Graham Road.

Council signed off on spending $23,000 for about 0.05 acres of road-front property in front of the pizzeria near the intersection with Hudson Drive.

Practically every road-front property on Graham Road from Bath to Hudson roads will be touched by the Graham Road widening plan to improve traffic flow.

About 50 properties in total will see some sort of change, such as to the curb or sidewalk, simply because the road will be widened in front of them.
