Visions for Vacancies: What Should Replace the Former Damon's?

The mayor said there's been some interest in the building, but Patch wants to know what Stow residents would like to see in the former Damon's.

Patch got an overwhelming response when readers weighed in on what anchor store residents would like to see in the and we want that feedback again on another vacant building. 

The Damon's off of Steels Corners Road at 4200 Steels Point Dr. near the has been vacant since October 2009. Mayor Sara Drew said there have been a few tenants interested in the property, but nothing official has come of the space yet. 

Fifty people lost jobs when the restaurant closed.

"The restaurant, which opened in 2002, had been 'under performing' for the past two years, according to Denise Reinert-McKeown, of G&R Management Services, the company that runs the Columbus-based Damon's International," according to an 2009 Akron Beacon Journal story
