Community Job Club, Inc. Holds if First Annual Board Meeting and Announces New Board of Directors.

held their first annual board meeting on December 1, 2011 and announced the individuals who will join the newly structured Community Job Club, Inc., Board of Directors.

In line with the Community Job Club, Inc., 2011-2015 Strategic Plan, the new Board will complement the strategic direction of the organization moving forward.
Moving away from the charitable norm of simply reporting annual outcomes, the
Community Job Club, Inc., is committed to annually measuring the long-term
impact of its job search and career management projects, through in-depth
monitoring, and continuous program evaluation.


Officers of the Board of Directors are: Roger Hollis,  Board President and President of Roger Hollis, LLC,  Jeff McClain, Board Vice President, Publisher and Advertising Sales Coffee News of Stow Kent; Dianne Kerr, PhD. Board Secretary/Treasurer, professor of Health Education, Kent State University. Board members include: Tanya Ross-Lane, HRD Coordinator, Portage Lakes Career Center, Carol Howlett, Business Services Representative at Goodwill Industries of Akron, Randall Keller, Field Director/Financial Advisor, Northwestern Mutual, John MacWherter, retired, providing extensive experience in hiring, mentoring and interviewing.

“The past achievements of the Community Job Club, Inc., are a true testament to the invaluable drive, direction, and inspiration that the members of our previous leadership team have provided us,” said Diana Miller, Executive Director and founder of the Community Job Club, Inc. “As we move forward guided by our 2011-2015 Strategic Plan, the compilation of the new Board members in alignment with the direction set forth by the plan will allow the Community Job Club, Inc., to achieve maximum, lasting impact in the quest to end unemployment and underemployment in our community.

The Community Job Club, Inc. celebrates the contributions of Diana Miller, a
resident of Munroe Falls, Ohio, who founded the Community Job Club in Stow,
Ohio, in 2010 and has since helped local job seekers to find a job free of
charge.  The new Board of Directors appointed Miller as the new Executive Director of the organization to continue to carry out its mission of “getting job seekers over job search hurdles and back to work quicker.”  The Community Job
Club, Inc. is a non-profit organization that is made possible by the ASSET of
Northeast Ohio, who is currently acting as the organization’s fiscal sponsor.  The Community Job Club, Inc. plans to secure its own tax- except status within the next 6-9 months.

The Community Job Club, Inc. is recognized by Ben Seigel,
Deputy Director of the U.S. Department of Labor Job Clubs Faith-Based and
Neighborhood Partnership as the “go-to-job club”. Ben Siegel’s office has been
leading a national Initiative that is providing support to job clubs across the
country. The leaders of the Community Job Club, Inc. have participated in
several events that have been sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor Job
