Humane Society plans rummage sale at Stow-Kent Shopping Center

Proceeds to fund shelter for abused, abandoned animals

Pawsibilities, the Humane Society of Greater Akron, plans to hold a rummage sale 9 a.m. to 5 pm. April 8 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 9 at the Stow-Kent Shopping Center, 4301 Kent Rd., near Big Lots.

 Items for the rummage sale may dropped off at the site between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 19-20 and March 26-27. Donations may also be dropped off at Tucker Supply, 2800 Second St. in Cuyahoga Falls, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Call 330-487-0333 for more information or email hsga@summithumane.org.

 The Humane Society of Greater Akron takes in, cares for and arranges for the adoption of animals from its shelter. The society houses more than 100 dogs and about 150 cats, according to its blog. It operates a no-time-limit shelter for animals as long as they are medically and behaviorally sound.
