VIDEO: UPDATE: Flood Watch in Effect After Tornado Warning Expires

According to the National Weather Service, there is a tornado warning in effect in Stow until at least 8 p.m. (The warning has expired.)

A Tornado Warning was extended to 10 p.m. May 25.

A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect until 9 p.m. A flood warning is in effect for all of Summit County and has been extended until 12:30 a.m. May 26.

The National Weather Service is advising drivers to slow down and be alert for low spots, dips and underpasses which may be flooded.

The thunderstorm is capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.

The rotation was moving east (toward Stow, Hudson and Twinsburg) at 25 mph.

Residents should go to a basement and get under a work bench or other piece of sturdy furniture or seek shelter on the lowest floor of the building in an interior hallway or room like a closet.
