Nutcracker

Ballet Theatre of Ohio (BTO), under the
artistic direction of Christine Meneer, is thrilled to celebrate the 21st
 anniversary of The
Nutcracker with performances Dec. 30th
– December 8th (Nov. 30 at 2 pm and 7 pm; Dec. 1 at 2
pm;  Dec. 7 at 2 pm and 7 pm; and Dec. 8 at 2 pm).  A special encore presentation of
the Nutty Nutcracker, a comedic take on our holiday classic, will be at 7pm on Friday Dec. 6, 2013 at the Akron Civic
Theatre. Performed to the same brilliant Tchaikovsky score, on the same
beautiful set as our traditional Nutcracker, this delightful spoof of America's
favorite holiday classic will have audiences chuckling, giggling - even
laughing out loud at the ballet!!

BTO is proud
to collaborate with local specialty bake shops for the premiere of 'Nutcracker
Sweets': Bake Shop (Ghent), Cupcake Binge (Munroe Falls), Dipped &
Dazzled (Stow), Main Street Cupcakes (Hudson), Vincent's Bakery (Cuyahoga
Falls), and West Point Market (Akron) will each be featured at one of our
shows.  Beginning November 1st, stop by to purchase their designated
'Nutcracker Sweet' goodie and receive a discount coupon to a 'Nutcracker'
performance. Then visit our 'Nutcracker Sweet' booth at the Akron Civic Theatre
and enjoy a "Sweet" at the show!

Ticket prices are $46, $34, and $22. Discounts are
available until Nov. 9 by calling BTO 330-688-6065 or by visiting BTO’s
website,  www.BalletTheatreOhio.org Tickets are also available at the Akron Civic Theatre Box Office
at 330-253-2488 and Ticketmaster 1-800-745-3000. Doors open one hour prior to
the performance so families can visit with Santa and the Nutcracker, and enjoy
all the wonderful sights to see!
