Silver Lake Park book signing at The Learned Owl

The Learned Owl Book Shop in Hudson will host a book signing for Silver Lake Park by Stow author and local historian Mary L. McClure.

Silver Lake Park, which operated from the 1870s-1917, had dozens of attractions ranging from one of the largest dance halls in the area, a miniature railway, roller coaster and other mechanical rides, live animal exhibits, including the first public aquarium in Ohio, an early aviation field, water toboggans, steamships and much more.

The book signing at the Learned Owl, 204 N. Main St. in Hudson, will be held on Sat., April 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. The event also features fellow Arcadia Publishing author James Pryor, who will be signing copies of his new book Akron Aviation.
