Stow resident Andrea Hartman has joined the Girl Scouts of North East Ohio council’s corporate office in Macedonia as director of member services and community development.
Hartman brings a wealth of Girl Scout experience and knowledge to her current position. In her new role, Hartman is primarily responsible for girl and adult recruitment and retention, while elevating and enhancing Girl Scout visibility in the community.
She reports directly to GSNEO’s chief operating officer, assisting with achieving the organization’s mission and strategic goals. Hartman also leads a staff of membership managers and specialists throughout 18 counties in Northeast Ohio.
Prior to joining Girl Scouts of North East Ohio, Hartman served as assistant executive director for Girl Scouts of the Calumet Council – now a legacy council with Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana.
Besides the Girl Scouts, Hartman has worked for numerous non-profit organizations including the League of Women Voters of Illinois, VNA Hospice of Northwest and St. Anthony Medical Center in Michigan City, IN. She received her bachelor of science degree in public administration from Indiana University Northwest.
Hartman, husband Brad and their dog Gabriel have relocated to Stow from rural Northwest Indiana, where she was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels, a member of the board of directors for the Hobart Community Service and a member of the Association of Girl Scout Executive Staff.
