Library closed on Easter Sunday -- Back open Monday at 9 with new events and classes.

The library will be closed on Easter Sunday (March 31). We’ll open back up at 9 a.m. (no fooling) on Monday, April 1st.

What does the beginning of April have in store at your library? Here’s just a sample of what’s going on:

Reference Librarian Susan Falkman tackles questions about April Fool’s Day traditions, Shakespeare and Bugs Bunny in our email newsletter. Not a subscriber? It’s free – click here to sign up. Or pick up a copy the next time you're in.

Silly Saturday is back! The library tradition of celebrating spring with a wacky take on April Fool’s Day returns on April 6. We skipped last year, but previous Aprils have seen the library transformed (just for the day) into a witty wonderland of weird. Some of you may remember the canoe from years past… Stop in any time between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the 6th and participate in our scavenger hunt of oddities for a chance to win a $75 gift card – or just join us for some laughs. More details here.

Book Donation Day for the Friends of the Library’s Spring Booksale is also April 6th. If your spring cleaning includes de-cluttering, we are happy to take any books, CDs, DVDs, video games or jigsaw puzzles you no longer use off your hands during this day of drive-up service. Friendly volunteers will unload your donations right from your car if you like. Just pull up to the back of the library for curbside service anytime from 10 to 4.
