What Happened at the Oct. 25, 2012 City Council Meeting
At-large councilman Mike Rasor shares his notes from the October 25, 2012 meeting of Stow City Council.
My notes from tonight’s meeting are posted below:
– Tomorrow (Thursday), your kids can get some early trick-or-treating. From 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at city hall, children can dress up and spook our city employees in exchange for candy. The citywide trick-or-treat will be Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
– Leaf pickup has begun. Don’t let yourself miss it. Check the city’s schedule/map by clicking here.

– City council voted on two of the three “double-dipper” contracts that were on the table: City engineer Jim McCleary and service director Mike Miller. First, I’ll tell you the result: Both contracts were approved unanimously.
Now, I’ll tell you how we got there. ... Ward 3 Councilman Brian Lowdermilk successfully negotiated a compromise between the mayor and some members of council who like the concept of double-dipping, and the other councilmen, who oppose it.
