M. Lucille Benner, 91, Loved Time at the Shores of Lake Erie

Lucille was a resident of the Stow-Glen Retirement Village.

M. Lucille Benner, 91, of Stow, passed on Thursday, May 10,2012. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William H.Benner and her eldest son William Benner, Jr.

Beloved mother of Marjorie “Margie” (Tom) McKinney of Stowand Dale (Kate) Benner of Stockton, California, mother-in-law of Mary LouBenner of Hudson;  grandmother of Rick (Beth) Hunter, Susan (John) Pirkl, Carly Benner and Andrew Benner, Theresa (Rob) Morris, Danielle (Matt) Cullion and Ted (Kameron) McKinney;great-grandmother of eleven and great-great-grandmother of three.  Also survived by sisters Vera Drab of Barberton, Janet Kleckner of Akron, Jacquelyn Bradshaw of Akron andsister-in-law Peggy Kincaid of El Segundo, California. 

Lucille and husband Bill loved to camp, fish and boat.  They spent much special time on the shores of Lake Erie in the Sandusky area.  Theyalso spent vacations in California and lived in Arizona in the 1940’s.

Lucille worked at the South Akron Branch of Firestone Bank for 15 years, retiring in 1985. Family,friends and recent friends and special staff at will miss herdearly. 

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Roadin Stow, for visitation Tuesday 5 to 7 p.m., where a brief memorial service willbe held at 6:45. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Stow-Glen Nursing Home.
