Ruth Eileen Sypherd (Kettering), 94, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012. She was born on Oct. 14, 1918, to the late Clarence and Esther Kettering. She was preceded in death by Chester, her husband for over 65 years, daughter, Sue Freed, son-in-law, Bob Freed, and brother, Roger Kettering.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Hughes, son-in-law, Richard Hughes, sister, Doris Hudson, sister-in-law, Ruth Kettering, grandchildren, Christian Freed, Jered Freed (Lauren), two great grandchildren and numerous nephews, a niece, 5 step-grandchildren and their families.

The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at the Gardens of Western Reserve, as well as Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate care.
Friends may call for one hour prior to a 1:30 pm Funeral Service on Thursday, Dec. 27 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Park.
