40,000 Quarters Taken from Man's Home

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.

A 35-year-old bartender who lives on Robin Lane called Stow Police Nov. 10 because he said $10,000 in rolled quarters was taken from his home.

Police went to the home at the 1500 block of Robin Lane and said there was no forced entry. The victim said the rolled quarters were taken during the last two weeks.

Burglary is a second-degree felony in this situation.

This seems suspect to me. 10k in rolled quarters weighs ALOT. More than someone could take in one swoop. The victim is 35... has he been saving quarters since he was 5?? Doesn't add up

Well, According to www.kgbanswers.com/how-much-does-a-thousand-dollars-in-quarters-weigh-in-us-pounds/5044644, a thousand dollars in quarters weighs just over 50 pounds. You're talking five hundred pounds of quarters here. But since it seems the owner hasn't been home much over the last two weeks it certainly would be "doable".

The guy never heard of a bank account?? The only way this happens is if he told someone he had them in his house. Kinda serves him right.
