5 Strangest Stolen Items in Stow: Police Blotter

Area thieves have stolen some odd items in Stow recently. Here are the five most unusual theft reports from Stow Police:

  1. Ten Commandments—A Stow man told police that someone stole a wooden, homemade sign of the Ten Commandments from his yard last month. The resident valued the 5 feet by 3 feet sign, stolen July 23, at $100.
  2. Flea medication—Employees at WalMart on Hudson Drive told Stow Police that a Stow woman tried to steal pet flea medication valued at $80 from the store July 26. The woman was charged with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.
  3. Giant moose—A Wexford Boulevard man told police that someone stole loose change and a 5 feet, brown stuffed moose valued at $200 from his car over night between July 28 and July 29.
  4. Water heater—An employee of a property management firm told police that someone broke into a house on Hiwood Avenue and stole the water heater and some wood molding some time between June 1 and Aug. 1.
  5. Wood—A Genevieve Boulevard resident told police that someone stole several pieces of lumber from his backyard some time between July 28 and July 30.
