Arson Claims Stow Man's Work Van: Police Blotter

All information is according to Stow Police

Burnt wreckage is all that remains of a Stow man’s work van after someone set fire to the vehicle.

A Chestnut Drive resident told Stow Police someone set fire to his cable van some time while he slept.

The resident, an employee of Cleveland-based U.S. Cable Corporation, told police someone removed numerous equipment items, including thousands of feet of communcations cable, from the van first before setting it on fire.

The 2007 Ford Econoline is likely a total loss, but a damage estimate was not included in the police report.

The fire was set some time before 5 a.m. July 29.
