Careful of the Deer, Here's What to Do if One is Injured
The police chief said if you see an injured deer, call his department.
Jenni Bick of Stow saw an injured deer Sunday night while driving down Graham Road — but she wasn't sure what to do to help.
"I saw a baby deer on the side of the road writhing about. It seems someone had hit the poor thing and continued on. Everyone was slowing down and it looked so sad, but no one knew what to do. In the case when someone hits a deer and the deer lives, what are you to do?" Bick said.
With deer wandering around Stow, Bick was hoping Patch could tell community-members what to do if they run into the same situation. (No pun intended.)
