Dog Park Robbed of Donation Money

All information is according to Stow Police

Thieves robbed the maintenance donation box at Bow Wow Beach dog park at Silver Springs Park recently.

Someone broke into the storage shed at the park between Aug. 27 and Aug. 28 and stole an unknown amount of cash from the donation box, which is used to help pay for upkeep and improvements to the city's dog park.

Marc Anderson, deputy service director for Stow, told police that someone broke a padlock to gain entrance into a storage shed at the dog park and then, once inside, broke another padlock to gain entrance to the small, wooden donation box.

The thief or thieves, if found, face a fifth-degree felony charge of breaking and entering and a first-degree misdemeanor charge of theft.
