Drugs and Loaded Shotgun Found Near Unconscious Man

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.

and EMS responded to a report of an unconscious man at the 3700 block of Hile Road July 28 around 11 p.m. When officers investigated, they said they found a loaded weapon and drugs. 

According to the report, the unconscious man was lying in bed and a loaded shotgun was alongside his bed. 

While checking the immediate area for additional weapons, marijuana and a pipe were found on the nightstand, police said.

Police searched the immediate area for more weapons and did not find anymore, but they said they did find two plastic bags of marijuana, a tinfoil pipe with burnt marijuana and rolling papers. 

EMS transported the man to the hospital for treatment.

The 36-year-old Stow man was issued a summons to appear at the Aug. 3. 

Drug paraphernalia is a fourth-degree misdemeanor and drug abuse (marijuana) is a minor-misdemeanor in this situation.
