Excuse me officer, which way to jail- Arrests don't get much easier than this.
A 34-year-old Lakewood man was charged with drunken driving after he stopping to ask a Solon police officer for directions.

At about 1 a.m. on Dec. 8, a Solon police officer parked at a gas station was approached by a man after a car pulled in behind him.
Perry L. Allen, 34, approached the officer to get directions to a nearby business. According to the report, Allen smelled like alcohol and had slurred speech.

He failed the field sobriety tests and was arrested.
The gift that scares people- Suspicious packages in the form of a Christmas presents created quite a stir at Theodore Roosevelt High School on Dec 11.
High school administrators couldn't account for the packages, so they called Kent Police to make sure the packages weren't some kind of threat.
K9 units responded and students, who were arriving for the start of school at about 7 a.m., were directed away from the school entrance.
Ultimately, school officials learned that the packages were used as props in a holiday play by students at the elementary school and they were dropped off at the high school after hours Monday.
Drinking beer and driving- On Dec. 6 a motorist on Interstate 77 south called the Bath Police Department to report a man driving with a can of beer in his hand and weaving on the road, according to a report.
When officers caught up with the 47-year-old Akron man, they saw he was weaving in his lanes and pulled him over, the report stated. The man still had the beer in his hand.
Police charged the man with marked lanes and open container. In a breath test, he blew below the legal limit, so officers did not charge him with drunken driving.
The man was released to his wife, the report stated.
