Expect to See More Officers in Stow This Weekend

With St. Patrick's Day Sunday, the Stow Police Department will have additional officers on Stow's streets in conjunction with the Summit County OVI Task Force.

The Stow Police Department announced on its Facebook page that more officers will be on Stow streets for the holiday weekend. 

Because of St. Patrick's Day celebrations, the Summit County OVI Task Force and Stow Police Department will have additional men and women patrolling to enforce traffic laws and snag impaired drivers. 

Drunk driving checkpoints will be set up in several Ohio counties this weekend, but details about those locations and times have not yet been released.

"For their own safety and the safety of all others on the road, anyone celebrating the St. Patrick’s Day holiday by drinking is encouraged to find a designated driver or call a cab for transportation," a statement released by the police department said.
