Game Over for Man Who Tried to Steal Gaming Equipment

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.

A Target employee called Stow Police when they noticed a man removed two video game controllers from the packaging and tried to leave the store without paying for them.

When police arrived, they said they caught a 22-year-old Ravenna man with a $35 pair of converse shoes, a $129 Xbox controller and a $54 PS3 controller. When police arrested the man, they said they also found some marijuana.

Theft, in this situation, is a first-degree misdemeanor and possession of marijuana is a minor-misdemeanor.

The man was released on a personal recognizance bond.
