Gun Missing from Unlocked Truck

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.

A Stow resident told May 12 that his gun, a .45 Springfield model XD9, was taken out of his unlocked 1998 Ford F-150.

The man said the car was parked at his home at the 4500 block of Fishcreek Road from May 10 at 5 p.m. to May 11 at 5 p.m. The truck was also parked at various locations in Twinsburg both days before he noticed it was missing, according to the report. 

The gun was valued at $500. Also stolen was a custom made leather holster, valued at $100.

The firearm was entered into LEADS as stolen.
