Harassment with a Dead Squirrel

A Priem Road resident complained July 15 about an ongoing dispute with her neighbor that escalated into dead squirrel-throwing.

The woman said she saw a dead squirrel -- decomposing and covered in maggots — in the neighbor's yard.

The next day, she found in under her kids' swing set.

She flung it back over into the neighbor's yard, then called police to document the situation.

LAKEWOOD PATCH

Car Versus Bike, Fight Breaks Out

A fight broke out between a motorist and a bicyclist after the former struck the bicyclist in the 17800 block of Northwood Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. Police cited the bicyclist when police showed up and found him choking the driver of the car.

CUYAHOGA FALLS PATCH

Pair Caught With Meat Stuffed in Clothing

Two Akron residents reportedly strolled into Sam's Club on July 8 and tried to steal $300 worth of beef tenderloins and crabs legs.

The pair allegedly stuffed the steak and crab in their clothes and attempted to sneak out of the store, according to a Cuyahoga Falls police report.

STRONGSVILLE PATCH

Kicking a Puppy in a Bag

A Whitney Road woman told police she shared the elevator in her apartment complex with a man who was kicking a bag she believed contained a puppy.

A report said the bag was moving, and the man kicked it. He went into an apartment, where the woman said she could hear him beating the puppy, and the dog whimpering.

Police knocked on the door of the man's apartment, but no one answered. The animal control officer was assigned to follow up.

BEACHWOOD PATCH

Cat Food in Iced Tea, Prank or Crime?

An employee at Gali's Florist and Garden Center on Chagrin Boulevard called police at 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 19 to report that a co-worker put cat food in her iced tea. The police report did not say whether it was dry cat food or canned.
