Two Drug-Related Police Reports on Same Day at High School

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 responded to calls from two  officials on one day last week regarding suspected drug-use issues.

  • At 2:13 p.m. Oct. 25, a teacher and coach called police after finding four empty yellow pill capsules in the boy’s locker room in the fieldhouse.

Police said the coach had been looking for evidence of drug abuse after receiving information from an anonymous source that several sophomore football players were snorting pills.

  • Just after 10 a.m. on Oct. 25, an assistant principal at the high school received a report of a male student who “reeked of marijuana,” according to police.

The student was found to be “in possession of marijuana and burnt rolling paper,” police reported. A small amount of marijuana and burnt rolling paper were found wrapped in paper.

The student also had cigarettes and four CO2 cartridges.

Police charged the 17-year-old with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.
