Landscapers Remain Targets for Thieves

More landscape equipment reported stolen in Stow

As the warm weather brings out numerous landscapers, so too has summer-like weather brought thieves looking to steal their equipment.

Another landscape company reported equipment stolen to the Stow Police Department Monday.

An employee with Lamphears Lawn Service told police that while the company's landscape rig was parked in a business lot in the 3500 block of Hudson Drive someone stole two pieces of equipment.

The employee told police that someone took a Stihl string trimmer valued at $350 and a Stihl backpack-style leaf blower valued at $500.

Late last month, a Stow lawncare company told police someone stole a $10,000 commercial lawn mower from one if its landscape trailers.

A third grounds maintenance company told police that a weed trimmer had been stolen last month.
