Lottery Ticket Thief Not So Lucky

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 21-year-old Lake Run Boulevard man was arrested by police after he was observed taking lottery tickets from the on Graham Road, according to a report.

Officers said they watched surveillance video of the man taking the scratch off tickets from behind the counter July 5 around 7:56 a.m. without paying for them.

According to the report, the man had a tattoo that said “Carpe Diem” on his arm. Police ended up seizing him instead of the man seizing the day.

A total of $24 in lottery tickets was stolen.

Theft, in this situation, is a first-degree misdemeanor.
