A Fake $50 and Girl Videotapes Fight: Police News

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.

• A  employee called  when a customer tried to pay with a counterfeit $50 bill.

According to the report, a man tried to purchase a $5 bottle of shampoo with the $50 bill Jan. 12.

When the clerk said she wanted to check with her manager about the authenticity of the bill, the man left, said police.

• A student told police that her friend was going to fight her sister’s foster sister Jan. 9 at a home on Fishcreek Road.

The girl began to video tape the incident as it unraveled. Police said they viewed the tape and said the girl blocked the other girl’s path and then struck her.

No arrest was made. The case is being handled by Stow Youth Services.
