Police find lab on tip

Stow Police uncovered a meth lab in a Burton Drive house Thursday after following up on a tip from a concerned resident.

Police responded to a welfare check after receiving reports that two occupants of the house at 4092 Burton Drive were possibly using drugs.

"Officers responded and met with the homeowner, who allowed the officers to check the residence for anyone who might be in distress," according to a police press release. "Officers discovered a male and a female hiding in the basement. The basement was filled with smoke and there was heavy chemical odor in the air."
