Police Blotter: Burglary, Theft, Criminal Mischief

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary

  • A man living in the 1900 block of Ducksport Drive told that sometime on July 20, someone went into his attached garage and two cars parked inside. Taken from the cars were a PNC debit card, a Marriott Rewards Card, a Pier One credit card, a cell phone and a woman's wallet which included a driver's license and Pottery Barn credit card. Burglary is a second-degree felony.
  • A woman living in the 2000 block of Maplewood Road told police that on July 26, someone tried to get into her home through a rear window. Burglary is a third-degree felony.

Attempted Breaking and Entering

  • An employee of told police that sometime between July 26 and 27, someone tried to force open the back door of the business and damaged the door and door knob. Breaking and entering is a fifth-degree felony and criminal damaging is a second-degree misdemeanor.

Theft

  • An employee of Ultimate Wash told police that sometime on July 26, two suspects stole approximately $190 in quarters out of the change machine. Theft is a first-degree misdemeanor in this situation.

Criminal Mischief

  • An employee with the Independence Place South Condominium Association told police that sometime between July 22 and 23, someone started swimming in the association's swimming pool while it was closed. The employee also found all of the pool furniture in the pool. There was no damage to the furniture. Criminal mischief is a third-degree misdemeanor and criminal trespassing is a fourth-degree misdemeanor.
