Police Blotter: Disorderly Conduct on a School Bus, Theft, Paintballs Splattered on a Building

charged a juvenile with disorderly conduct Feb. 14 because of a "menacing" incident on a school bus, according to Stow-Munroe Falls School District Transportation Director John Daymon.

The case is being hanlded by Stow Youth Services, according to police.

The fifth grade student placed a paper hat on top of a school bus driver's head covering her eyes Feb. 10 while driving about 70 students home on Graham Road after school, said Daymon.

The following day, Feb. 11, a passenger allegedly heard an unknown student on the same bus say to a group of students they were going to "bring a knife on the bus to stab the driver," Daymon said.

The driver was directed to turn the bus around Feb. 11 and go back to the school, while the principal talked to the students. Daymon requested two other bus drivers go to the school to take the kids home and to drive the original driver back to the garage.

The bus driver is not driving the Lakeview route until both the Stow Police Department and the district finishes its investigations, said Daymon.

In other police news:

• A Williamson Road home owner called Stow Police to report that her son’s lime green electric scooter was taken out of her unattached, unlocked garage Feb. 13 around 7 a.m. The electric scooter is valued at $200. Breaking and entering is a fifth-degree felony.
• A Hudson Drive apartment resident reported to police that his chainsaw and computer cabinet were taken from his parking garage behind his apartment building Feb. 12. The chainsaw is valued at $550. Theft is a fifth-degree felony. 
• A employee reported to police that paintballs were splattered on the building Feb. 11. Police said an orange paintball was splattered on the east side of the building. Criminal mischief is a third-degree misdemeanor. The bank reported to Stow Police in December that.
