Police Blotter: DVDs, Pills Stolen, Home Egged

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Stow Road resident told that around 2 a.m. July 4 someone broke into his home and stole 30 DVDs. The front door of his house was kicked in. The DVDs are valued at $450. Theft is a first-degree misdemeanor and burglary is a fourth-degree felony.

In other police news:

  • On July 2, a Terra Lee Circle resident told Stow Police his home was egged. Police said there was no damage to the property.
  • A woman walking on the 3800 block of Kauffman Road July 1 said a dog crossed over its electric fence and bit her on the arm and elbow. The dog crossed over Kauffman road before biting the vitim. A dog-at-large is a minor-misdemeanor citation.
  • Police found a change machine that was tampered with July 3 at 1021 Graham Rd. The coin and credit card machine damage is valued at $2,000, according to police. Vandalism is a fifth-degree felony, in this situation and tampering with with a coin machine is a first-degree misdemeanor.
  • A Fishcreek Road resident reported to police that eight of her son’s Adderall pills were missing July 4. Theft of drugs is a fifth-degree felony.
