Four Vehicle Break-ins Occur in Same Neighborhood

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Four vehicles parked in the Lake Run Boulevard and Woodbury Oval neighborhood were broken into overnight, and a variety of items were stolen, according to .

"These thefts from motor vehicles are unfortunately not uncommon and they usually occur in clusters," said Police Chief Louis Dirker .

"People often leave their cars unlocked and they invite thefts by leaving articles in plain sight inside the vehicles. Citizens should lock their vehicles, even in their driveways and place articles in the trunk of the car if they want to leave them in the vehicle," Dirker previously said.

  • A resident of the 3700 block of Woodbury Oval reported Oct. 21 that someone entered his 2007 Chevrolet Impala parked in the driveway and took two credit cards, some documents, a Callaway golf bag valued at $150 and a set of Ping golf clubs of unknown value.
  • A resident of the 3900 block of Lake Run Boulevard reported Oct. 22 that someone used a screwdriver to break the passenger window of her Jeep parked in the driveway and took a briefcase valued at $299 and a Canon camera value at $250.
  • A resident of 3800 block of Lake Run Boulevard reported Oct. 22 that someone broke into his 2004 Chevrolet while it was parked in an apartment complex lot and took 12 Drew Pomeranz rookie baseball cards and an autographed Nick Weglarz baseball card. No values were listed.
  • A resident of the 3900 block of Lake Run Boulevard reported Oct. 22 that someone entered his unlocked 1993 Ford Ranger parked in his driveway. While nothing was reported missing, the suspect used a knife to cut the cloth bed cover, causing $200 in damage.
