Cocaine Found in Wal-Mart Clearance Section

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Oct. 10 a employee contacted the to report a suspicious pouch containing personal items with white powder on them was left in the clearance isle.

The white powder tested positive for the "presumptive presence of cocaine," according to police.

There is no evidence to indicate who left the pouch in the store, said police.

The items: the pouch, a small plastic vial with suspected cocaine, hard candy and feminine hygiene products, were entered into police property and marked for destruction.

Drug abuse, in this situation, is a fifth-degree felony, according to police.
