K9 Aids in Arrest of Homeless Man from Closet in For Sale House

A potential buyer was surprised to see the lockbox broken and sounds coming from the second floor of the vacant home for sale at 4085 Stow Rd. Monday morning.

After 9-11 was called, officers said with the help of the police dog, Colt, they found a homeless man hiding in the closet of a second floor room. The man, Michael P. Korn, 43, did not follow police orders and the K9 was released and Korn was immediately arrested, according to the .

Korn was charged with safecracking for forcing the lockbox open (fourth-degree felony), burglary (fourth-degree felony) and resisting arrest (second-degree misdemeanor).
