A 17-year-old Stow's juvenile case is being continued March 7.

The youth accused of taking police on a 52-mile chase in a dump truck attempted suicide shortly after his arrest in December, his father told a judge yesterday, the Akron Beacon Journal reported.

The information came to light during a hearing to determine whether the youth should be tried as an adult. The hearing was continued to March 7.

"More testimony needs to be heard from a psychologist," said Don Ursetti, the juvenile court's outreach coordinator.
