Valentine's Day misfortune

An Akron woman called Cuyahoga Falls police and reported her Sandhill residence had been burglarized at about 1:40 p.m. on Feb. 14.

The burglar smashed through the back door and made off with $2,200 in cash and valuables, according to the police report.

The woman intends to prosecute if the crook is caught.

On Feb. 14 at 3:30 a.m., a 7-Eleven employee was reportedly duped by a male suspect who called the Main Street convenience store and requested that two $500 MoneyPak cards be activated under his name.
