Stow Police Dog Helps In Arrest of Three for Theft

Three Stow teens are charged with misdemeanors in connection with thefts from cars.

The dog helped officers in the May 18 arrest of three Stow men, who are charged with various misdemeanors in connection with a string of car break-ins.

A Muirwood Place resident reported to police that he noticed people breaking into cars on his street. The resident shouted at the suspects and when police arrived, the suspects fled.

The police dog, Nero, tracked and located one teen, whom police arrested. Police saw two others get into a car and flee. Police stopped the car and arrested the two men inside.

Some of the items taken from the cars was recovered and many items remain at the police department for the owners to claim. The items, worth about $1,200, include a global positioning system, a computer monitor, a crate full of computer wire and a tennis racquet.

Charles Christopher Boylan, 19, of Stow was charged with theft, resisting arrest and trespassing in a motor vehicle.

Joseph Conor Bury, 19, of Stow was charged with theft, underage consumption of alcohol, operating a vehicle under the influence and vehicle trespassing.

John Adam Weaver, 18, was charged with theft, underage consumption and vehicle trespassing.

All three men were released on bond.
