Stow Police to Carry Torch for Special Olympics Fundraiser

The Stow Police Department will carry the torch to Munroe Falls June 22 around 1 p.m.

Usually they are running after the bad guys, but tomorrow afternoon,  Officers will be running to raise money for the Special Olympics.

The 2011 Law Enforcement Torch Run begins at 8:30 a.m. in Cleveland Heights. After officers dash through several Cuyahoga County cities, the torch will eventually make its way to Stow around 1:15 p.m.

The officers are set to receive the hand-off from Hudson's officers at the Darrow Road and Norton Road intersection. The torch will be carried south on Darrow toward the Munroe Falls border where it will be handed off to law enforcement from Tallmadge and Munroe Falls.
