Thieves Hit Landscapers for Thousands

Landscape companies in Stow report thefts right from their mowing trailers

Two area landscape companies were robbed of thousands of dollars in equipment recently while working in Stow.

An employee of O'Bryan's Grounds Maintenance, based in Stow, told police that someone stole a commercial lawn mower right off the company trailer while workers mowed a Stow business.

The employee told police the theft happened while they were mowing the entrance to King's Mill Boulevard on Thursday.

Someone actually moved a lawn mower off the trailer to get access to a Wright zero-turn lawn mower, which was then stolen right from the equipment trailer, according to police.

The 2007-model mower is valued at $10,000.

Another firm, HD Property Preservation out of Rittman, OH, told Stow Police that someone stole a gas trimmer right off of their landscape trailer.

An employee for the company said someone took an Echo multi-task trimmer, valued at $400, while they were mowing the grounds at National College on April 15.
