Video: Thousands Gather in Cleveland to Pay Tribute to Bastock, Fallen Officers
Police departments from all over Northeast Ohio gathered in downtown Cleveland May 20 for the 26th annual Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial Service.

Stow Police Chief Louis Dirker said it was unusual to be inducted to the memorial so quickly.
"Since Jonathan passed so early this year they did not want to wait until next year to induct him into the memorial," said Dirker.

"We are very pleased that Jonathan’s [has been] added this year and it is quite an honor for the department to have the Honor Guard lead the parade," the chief said. "Special thanks go to Retired Cleveland Police Sgt. Chas Lane for his efforts to have Jonathan honored this year."
