Woman Arrested at Municipal Court, Intoxicated Man at Wal-Mart, Thefts

A Kent woman was arrested May 2 at the  after swearing in Judge Kim Hoover’s court room.

The 21-year-old woman was charged with disturbing a lawful meeting and disorderly conduct, both fourth-degree misdemeanors. According to the Stow Police report, the woman was at the court house for a video arraignment of her boyfriend. After bond was set, the Kent woman talked to the judge about getting her boyfriend out of jail. The judge explained that paying bond was the only way to be released. The woman then shouted swear words and was arrested, according to police.

  • A woman was chased on foot and then by employees in cars after leaving without paying for 42 DVDs May 2.  The merchandise, valued at $481.58, was recovered. Theft, in this situation, is a first-degree misdemeanor.
  • A Graham Road woman reported to police that about a quarter tank of gasoline was siphoned from her car April 29. The woman said a similar incident happened a few weeks ago. The theft occurred overnight while the car was parked in the apartment complex. The fuel is valued at $16.60 ($4.15/gallon). Theft, in this situation, is a first-degree misdemeanor.
  • Police responded to a call from a employee reporting a man was apparently intoxicated and yelling and screaming in the parking lot May 1 at 2 p.m. When police arrived, the Cuyahoga Falls man ran away. Police caught him and cited him for public intoxication., a minor misdemeanor.
