The National Weather Service issued another heat advisory for today from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., saying that high temperatures in the low to mid 90s combined with high humidity levels will make for a very hot afternoon.
Heat index values of 100 to 104 degrees are likely today. There is a 30 percent chance of rain and, according to Aol Weather, isolated thunderstorms will develop later in the afternoon.

The American Red Cross of Summit and Portage counties chapters have opened Cooling Centers nearby. Residents can seek relief from the heat from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday. Free water is available at both locations.
