Chamber Seeking 5 Board Directors — Deadline Friday

Looking for a way to get more involved in the community? Would you or someone you know be a good leader?

Consider applying for or nominating someone for a board of directors position. The is accepting applications and nominations until Oct. 7. 

Five positions need to be filled for 2012-13.

"Directors are responsible for setting goals and policy for the chamber, as well as providing leadership within the chamber and the community," according to a press release. "Directors play an important and pivotal role in leadership of the chamber."

Some duties include:

• Establishing policy and direction for the organization
• Meet on a monthly basis and are available for special meetings as needed
• Volunteer to chair or co-chair chamber committees and special events
