Why do you want to run for election?

  • "I am running for Ward 4 City Councilwoman in order to continue the job I was previously elected to do. I feel the residents of Ward 4 need and deserve a councilman who is responsive to them.  During my time on council, I worked with various departments and residential groups throughout the week, in order to be prepared with the necessary information for meetings. The northwest quadrant in Ward 4 is a prominent economic expansion area of the city and region. It is also the home to many residents who have a vested interest in how this development will effect their families. I have a record of researching the projects in the area as well as sponsoring the legislation bringing stormwater criteria to the strictest measures around."

Biggest problem facing Stow?

  • "Like every community in America, Stow must find a way to live within a much tighter budget.  Rather than focusing on the past, we as a Council must look at the present and future expenditures and work together to make the best financial decisions."

Goals if elected?

  • "My goal, as Ward 4 Councilman, is to be closely involved in any project involved in the Seasons Road development and to keep area residents properly informed. During my previous terms, I was involved in bringing awareness to residential issues and working on remedies, ie. fast tracking the Ritchie Road stormwater project and the Glenrich/Kames train issue."

What qualifies you to serve?

  • "I am a resident who cares about her community.  I have experience writing legislation and working on various projects within city government.  Not every project was simple or even well received by all involved but necessary.  Being involved with different community organizations, allows me to listen to residents and hear what is important to them."

Favorite thing about Stow?

  • "I love that Stow is a family friendly community.  We have great schools, communtiy organizations, and recreational activities available to every age and economic group ... but mostly the weather!"
