Why run for election/what qualifies you to serve?

  • "My past record in office shows how I will continue to govern. I have opposed numerous tax/fee increases on our residents and businesses. I was especially proud to stand up against a proposal that would have created a new fee charging commercial plaza owners for filling vacancies in their plazas. I also opposed a proposal that would have charged residents with a first degree misdemeanor (same category as domestic violence, DUI, petty theft) for simply shoveling snow into the street. The maximum punishment for a first degree misdemeanor is six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

What is the biggest problem facing Stow?

  • "Finances. It was just announced that Stow will receive approximately $650,000 less in property tax revenue next year. Combine that with state budget cuts and a struggling economy, and we're looking at more budget problems for at least the next two - five years. Raising taxes is the wrong way to go."

Goals if elected?

  • "To continue to be a voice of common sense for our residents.

Favorite thing about Stow?

  • "I love the sense of community. Stow is a great place to live, work and raise a family."
