Mike Rasor Announces He's Seeking Re-Election to Stow City Council

The 28-year-old councilman, who is chairman of the roads and safety committee, is hoping for a third term.

At-large Councilman Mike Rasor announced Monday he intends on seeking a third term on Stow City Council this November.

"I have worked hard the past four years to be the most transparent, most accessible, and most diligent elected official in town,” said Rasor, who serves as Chairman of council’s Roads & Safety Committee, in a prepared statement. “I’m asking for the privilege to carry on the fight.”

After each City Council meeting, Rasor, 28, writes a post on his website and a Stow Patch blog explaining the legislation that was voted upon and providing important city news.

Rasor, who bought his first home in Stow in 2012, is a business attorney practicing at the Cleveland law firm of Cavitch, Familo & Durkin. He represents owners of privately-held businesses in commercial transactions and litigation. Rasor is the only attorney on council and said he takes "an active role in drafting and amending legislation on a regular basis."
