New Hours for City's Brush/Mulch Site

You can still drop off brush and pick up mulch, but the hours have been shortened now that fall has arrived.

The city's brush drop off and mulch pick up site at 5070 Stow Rd. will now be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The site will still be open on the second and fourth Saturday at the same time — from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"The city offers this program as a giveback to the community," Community Information Coordinator Linda Nahrstedt previously said. "The product is a result of the brush drop off program. Residents drop off their brush at our facility. Eventually, we have it ground up into a mulch-type product."

Residents will need proof of residency and must load by shovel, pitch fork, chipping fork, hands (thus self loading - no front end loaders, tractors, bob cats, etc.), said Stow Arborist Sue Mottl.
