School District Receives 'Excellent' Marks on State Report Card

The district met 26 of 26 state indicators on the report, according to the superintendent.

The Ohio Department of Education will release the state report card Wednesday and preliminary reports show the  was rated "Excellent" again.

Superintendent Russ Jones said the district has been rated "Excellent" since 2006. 

"We're very proud of the accomplishments of our students with the support of our teachers, classified staff, administrators and parents in making this fantastic designation take place," said Jones.

"The combination of the four measures is the basis for assigning state designations to districts, buildings and community schools," according to the ODE.

The six designations are: Excellent with Distinction; Excellent; Effective; Continuous Improvement; Academic Watch; Academic Emergency.
