The Summit County Democratic Central Committee met on Tuesday to choose a new Stow Municipal Clerk of Courts, and their interim pick was none other than Cuyahoga Falls City Councilwoman Diana Colavecchio, reports the Stow Sentry.
Stow Mayor Sara Drew swore Colavecchi in during a ceremony at Cuyahoga Falls High School Tuesday night.
Colavecchio, a local attorney, will serve as clerk in Stow Municipal Court until November. At which point, the unexpired term will go on the ballot, and will once again be up for grabs.
She will replace Lisa Zeno Carano, who resigned as clerk on Dec. 31.
Zeno Carano is now working with the Summit County Court of Common Pleas Probate Division as a court administrator.
